Entry 27 — Awareness in Motion: The Bridge Between Visualization and Emotion
When people ask me what the real secret behind manifestation is, I always tell them: it isn’t visualization or emotion — it’s awareness.
Visualization is the language of the mind. Emotion is the language of the heart. And awareness is the bridge between both — the observer that notices, directs, and harmonizes them into one coherent state of being.
Without awareness, visualization becomes fantasy. Without awareness, emotion becomes chaos. But when awareness is present — steady, calm, and deliberate — both the mind and the heart begin to speak the same language. That’s when manifestation becomes not just possible, but inevitable.
What Is Self-Awareness?
At its simplest, self-awareness is the act of noticing yourself — what you think, how you feel, and where your energy moves. It’s consciousness recognizing its own movement.
“Where attention goes, energy flows.” This isn’t a metaphor — it’s literal. Wherever you place attention, energy gathers. And energy, when gathered with intention, creates form.
I began cultivating awareness not through thought, but through the body — by feeling myself being here. That led me to the simplest and most powerful structure for awareness training: the chakra system.
The 7 Chakras as Portals of Awareness
The chakras are seven stations of consciousness, each representing a layer of awareness within the mind-body field:
- Root (Muladhara) — “I am.” Stability, grounding, safety.
Seed Mantra: LAM. Focus at the base of the spine and chant “LAM” to anchor awareness in your physical existence. - Sacral (Svadhisthana) — “I feel.” Creativity, emotion, sensuality.
Seed Mantra: VAM. Awareness here connects you with emotional flow without being swept away. - Solar Plexus (Manipura) — “I act.” Power, identity, will.
Seed Mantra: RAM. Awareness awakens sovereignty — directing energy consciously instead of reacting. - Heart (Anahata) — “I love.” Compassion, connection, unity.
Seed Mantra: YAM. Awareness becomes radiant and expansive, perceiving unity with all beings. - Throat (Vishuddha) — “I express.” Truth, communication, authenticity.
Seed Mantra: HAM. Awareness refines your ability to speak creation into being. - Third Eye (Ajna) — “I see.” Intuition, imagination, vision.
Seed Mantra: OM. Visualization merges with awareness; imagery becomes felt reality. - Crown (Sahasrara) — “I am one.” Unity, transcendence, pure consciousness.
Seed Mantra: Silence. Awareness expands beyond self into the universal field.
Each chakra represents a dimension of awareness — from physical to emotional to transcendent. Meditating upon them trains consciousness to become self-aware at every level of being.
Polar and Non-Polar Awareness
Awareness itself has modes: polar and non-polar.
Polar awareness is focused — zooming in on a single point of consciousness. When you visualize a wish fulfilled, that’s polar awareness: directed, deliberate, and sharp.
Non-polar awareness is expanded. It’s the awareness of space itself — awareness of awareness. When you release focus and feel the field surrounding all objects, you enter non-polar awareness.
Combining both brings mastery. You focus when creating (polar), then dissolve into being (non-polar). This dance allows both creation and surrender to coexist harmoniously.
Awareness as the Bridge Between Visualization and Emotion
Visualization shapes energy. Emotion charges it. Awareness directs it. If visualization and emotion conflict — for example, imagining abundance while feeling fear — awareness detects the discord. The noticing itself begins the alchemy, because awareness transforms through illumination.
This is why awareness is the true backbone of manifestation. It harmonizes mind and heart, bringing coherence to the energy that forms physical reality.
From Polar Awareness to Non-Polar Awareness
Meditating on the seven chakras strengthens polar awareness. Expanding beyond them — into the Earth Star (below Root) and Soul Star (above Crown) chakras — cultivates non-polar awareness.
Here, focus dissolves. You’re not “focusing on your breath” — you are “aware that awareness is happening.” Visualization dissolves into stillness; emotion into peace. From this unmanifest field, manifestation arises effortlessly.
How to Practice Awareness in Motion
- Start with the Body: Sit comfortably, bring awareness to the base of your spine. Chant “LAM” and feel presence settle into the physical.
- Move Up the Chakras: Breathe awareness through each center — sacral, solar, heart, throat, third eye, crown.
- Shift to Non-Polar Awareness: Release focus. Feel the totality of your being as a single field.
- Visualize and Feel: Bring in a gentle visualization. Feel its emotion, but remain the observer of both. Simply notice.
This is awareness in motion — watching creation unfold from within.
Final Thoughts
The more you practice awareness — both polar and non-polar — the more fluidly you move between thought and feeling, imagination and embodiment. Awareness becomes the invisible hand that guides manifestation naturally.
When you master awareness, you no longer create reality — you allow it to reveal itself, because you are already the awareness that made it.
